The arts of photography, cinema, animation, and puppet theater meet on a single stage that enables play between the image and the process of its creation. We use closed-circuit cameras to create a world on the screen, telling a small story in Jaffa.
The unique power of the camera to capture one moment of being is the inspiration for the plot. The show's protagonist, a Jaffa rat that lives near an old Jaffa house, is driven by its impression of the sparkle. Little by little, the audience discovers that the rat’s seemingly chaotic movements are nothing but a journey to find the sources of the sparkle and a tragic-heroic attempt to revive it. The show adopts the rat’s perspective to reveal that there lives a magical world of sparkles under everyday human existence.
